The Midland Language Centre in Longford town has been chosen as the winner of this year's Longford Enterprise Awards.
The centre was originally established in 1976 by Clodagh Brady and it was taken over by Angela Bready in 2004.
The Language Centre operates all year round, and places over 2,000 foreign students a year on a wide rage of programmes across the country.
It operates on the basis that students are matched with host families, and integrated into local schools for their learning experience.
A total of 12 people are employed at the centres' offices in Longford town.
Angela Brady says they're honoured to have been chosen as this year's winners.
' We are very honoured to be nominated and very pleased to win obviously and for us I suppose it is recognition for the team in the offices here and the work that they did throughout the year and we are involved in placing students from Europe with host families so it is also recognizing for their host families and this service and the care that they show to their students.'
