A three year plan to increase job opportunities and local enterprise development in the Midlands has been officially launched today.
Government Minister and local TD Robert Troy says the programme is worth an estimated 20 million euro in supports over the next 3 years.
The funds are designed to generate new projects, create new jobs and help local companies to grow in their regions.
The plans have been put together by a regional steering group that included local enterprise offices, county councils, Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland.
Minister Troy says the programme will make the midlands a place people want to work and settle down:
