The Roscommon IFA Chairman says he's not sure the Agriculture Minister fully appreciates the urgency of the food security crisis facing the country.
Jim O' Connor says a special committee was talked about at a meeting between IFA and the Minister last night, but the initial suggestion was that a first meeting would be held sometime after St Patrick's Day.
The Roscommon farmer says that food security is very clearly a major issue, and farmers need help urgently to play their part.
He says though that judging from what the Minister is reported to have been suggesting last night, the urgency isn't being recognised.
