Sinn Féin are playing political games at a very serious time when work is ongoing for September's budget.
That's the view from local Minister Peter Burke ahead of a no confidence vote on Tuesday.
The Shannonside Minister has called the latest no confidence motion from Sinn Fein a stunt that will be a complete waste of time.
The Minister of State with responsibility for Local Government and Planning says that motions serve no purpose and doesn't give any solutions to the issues surrounding cost of living.
He says that Fine Gael and the Government are entirely focused on putting more money back in people's pockets.
Speaking to Shannonside News Minister Burke says that a significant amount of independent TD's will support the government in the Dail next week.
"I think you will see a significant number of Independent TD's supporting the government and some of them will be from rural backgrounds and I know it can be difficult in government as anytime your are making choices and taking decisions, there is always going to be frustrations one side or the other and that is very difficult but this government has record investment in rural Ireland."
