Boyle in Roscommon will be the backdrop for an announcement of the latest allocations under the Rural Regeneration and Development Fund.
Heather Humphreys TD, Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Islands, will view projects in the town previously granted funding under the programme, the Royal hotel, and the greenway which links the town to Lough Key Forest Park.
In February 2019, 1.7 million euro was approved to transform of the former hotel into a new enterprise Centre, exhibition space, information point and coffee dock.
Ahead of her visit to Boyle, Minister Humphreys will visit Ballaghaderreen, to officially publish the Western Development Commission's viability report into transitioning the Western Region to a low carbon economy.
