Minister to cut ribbon on €3.8m Castlerea food units

Mnister Heather Humphreys will also open Monksland Innovation Hub in south Roscommon this afternoon.

The Rural and Community Development Minister will officially open An Chistin Food Hub in Castlerea today - a development that cost almost €4 million.

Heather Humphreys will cut the ribbon on the seven food incubation units and shared office space at 12 noon.

Solas Desserts is leasing two units and five others are available to rent.

They are designed for those starting or developing food businesses.

Director of An Christin Food Hub, Paschal Fitzmaurice, says today is a very significant day for the town of Castlerea.

Mnister Humphreys will also open Monksland Innovation Hub in south Roscommon this afternoon.

Monksland-based councillor and cathaoirleach of Roscommon County Council, John Keogh, says it's a vital project.
