The Minister for Housing and Local Government Darragh O'Brien has turned the sod on an multi-million upgrade of Roscommon Town's sewer network today.
The 20 million euro project will include an enhancement of the town's waste water system, the provision of new pumping stations and additional storage for storm water.
It's hoped that the works will also improve water quality in local rivers as well supporting economic, social and commercial development.
Minister O'Brien says the upgrade will play a key role in the delivery of housing in Roscommon.
