There was mixed news for local towns in the most recent Irish Business Against Litter rankings released today.
Longford Town regained its 'Clean' status while Roscommon Town narrowly missed out.
Both towns had seen a significant slide down the rankings last year to 34th and 35th respectively.
Judges described Longford Town's result as its best in a long number of years while Roscommon did see some improvement, rising from 34th to 27th in the rankings.
Elsewhere, Athlone Town fared well, coming 25th of 40 towns surveyed while Naas, Kilkenny and Monaghan made up the top three.
