It will be an August Bank Holiday Weekend for umbrellas, as much as suncream, in the Shannonside region. There have been downpours of rain throughout the region today.
Local attractions are expected to be busy over the weekend, like Lough Key Forest Park in Boyle, and several agricultural shows are taking place. And Cathal Nolan, from Ireland's Weather Channel, says the outlook is mixed for the next few days:
