Local Independent councillor Enda Stenson says it's a major boost to the area.

Cllr Des Guckian raised their plight at the most recent Carrick-on-Shannon Municipal District meeting.

Councillor Des Guckian called for a Mohill couple and their unborn child to be given new accommodation over what he says is a urgent health risk.

No disruption is expected in the area, but slight traffic delays are expected.

The home at Drumgildra in Mohill was ransacked and a large amount of jewellery and a PS5 console, accessories and games were taken.

Independent Enda Stenson says the footpath from the town to the rowing centre at Lough Rynn needs urgent attention.
