It's hoped that contractors will be appointed next year to begin a major upgrade of Mohill town centre.
The plan, which proved controversial when first unveiled due to a number of changes to the town, include a proposed reduction in parking, was approved last year after several amendments were agreed to the original proposals.
Earlier this year the plan also faced another potential setback when an attempted legal challenge on environmental grounds failed in the High Court.
