There has been a significant increase in the 14-day Covid rate in Monaghan and Roscommon.
The counties have now the third and fourth highest per 100,000 fortnightly Covid rate in the country, just behind Dublin and Donegal.
This day last week the HSPC's 14-day report, which has focused on data between the 8th and 21st of September, described a 14-day Covid rate for Monaghan of 37.5 with 23 cases recorded in the space of a fortnight.
Information published by the HSPC today shows the county's 14-day rate has grown to the third-highest in the country at 135.2 with 83 cases in the last two weeks.
Roscommon's figure have also grown hugely in a week - with last week's HSPC rate between the 8th and 21st of the month at 54.2 after 35 cases in 2 weeks - and today showing a figure of 99.2 with 64 confirmed cases in the last fortnight between the 15th and 28th of the month.
Cavan's rate is at 47.3 and Longford's is 58.7 - while Leitrim's figure is at 15.6 after just five cases in the last fortnight.
The national average is 88.5 with Dublin at 156.0 and Donegal's rate the highest in the country at 204.
