Monthly rent prices across the Shannonside region continue to rise. According to a new Daft.ie report, average rental prices in Roscommon, Leitrim and Longford rose by at least 10% year on year last quarter. In Longford the average rental price was €1,352 in Quarter Two of 2024 with Roscommon slightly lower at €1,349.
The year on year increase in Co. Leitrim was 12.4% with the average rental price last quarter at €1,139. The average monthly rent nationally now stands at €1,922 with it being the 14th consecutive quarter of increasing costs in the rental market. Economist at Trinity College Dublin and author of the report, Ronan Lyons says supply outside of Dublin has dropped off dramatically:
