A Longford/Westmeath TD believes the Government's half measures in reducing fuel prices doesn't go far enough.
The Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe will today ask EU leaders to be more flexible on VAT rates for petrol and diesel.
However, Sinn Fein's Sorcha Clarke believes Government doesn't need to go to Europe for approval and could reduce prices to 1.75 per litre if they wanted to.
Speaking on The Joe Finnegan show she stated Government aren't responding adequately to the public's concerns on both the fuel and food crisis.
