More than 2000 newly-registered cars have been recorded across the Shannonside region so far this year.
The figures come from a recent report of the Society of the Irish Motor Industry.
The Society of the Irish Motor Industry operates a vehicle statistic system which outlines the number of registered cars around the country.
According to the report, Roscommon currently holds the highest figure of newly-registered cars in the region, at 1119 vehicles, a 6.4% increase since last year.
In Longford, 526 new cars have been registered so far this year, an increase of 3.3% since 2022.
Leitrim is the county with the lowest new car registrations in the country, at only 438 registered vehicles, with an increase of 3.6% since last year's figures.
Overall, the counties hold a total of 2083 newly-registered cars.
Out of these, 251 are electric cars, an increase of 23.5% since 2022.
Nationally, a total of 120,495 new cars have been registered so far this year.
