A major commercial development for Longford town has had its planning permission extended for an additional 5 years.
Ruby Way Ltd had received permission for the construction of a service filling station, a car showroom, restaurant/cafe and a discount convenience retail unit on the Connacht Road on the N5.
The project would see the significant development constructed between the N5 and Little Water Street in the town, with a new road planned to link the two.
Planning was initially granted in 2016 at the former Longford Creamery Site, with the applicants now seeking additional time to begin work.
Individual planning applications for each aspect of the developments have been granted with 68 conditions in total attached to the go-ahead.
