Roscommon woman Tori Towey believes there should be increased travel warnings for Irish people going to Dubai.

The 28-year-old was charged with alcohol consumption and attempted suicide, after allegedly being the victim of domestic violence.

She was initially detained in Dubai, but the travel ban was lifted last week and the charges were dropped after the Irish government intervened.

The Ballaghaderreen native, who has lived in Boyle in recent years, returned home to Ireland last Thursday.

Speaking to the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, Tori said she wanted to highlight the potential problems people can encounter with the laws in Dubai:
