The mother and daughter who died in a road crash in Co. Mayo yesterday evening have been named locally. 46 year old Aisling Moore and her young daughter 8 year old Abbigael Moore-Tournié died in a collision at Foxford yesterday evening.
Meanwhile, A man in his 80s died in a two-car crash at Gartlandstown in Castlepollard in Co Westmeath this morning, hours after another man in his fifties died in crash nearby at Teevrevagh yesterday evening. It brings to 97 the number of people killed in road crashes so far this year, an increase of 12 people compared to the same time last year.
