A motorcyclist has been killed following a crash in Athlone this morning.
The single vehicle incident occurred at the Kilmartin Roundabout at twenty past two this morning.
The man in his early 30s is understood to be from the Athlone area.

The incident took place on the slip roads serving the N6 at Junction 10, leaving the route closed to traffic.
Gardaí forensic examiners are due to attend the scene and anyone who was in the area between 2.25 and 2.30 am is asked to contact Athlone Garda Station.
According to Gardaí, The Dublin road is accessible via Junction 9 and all traffic between Athlone and Moate is advised to use the M6.
