Motorcyclist who lost life in Longford road collision named locally

The motorcyclist who lost his life in a road traffic collision in Longford yesterday has been named locally.

Sean (Seanie) Reilly, a native of Longford Town, was involved in a 2 vehicle collision at approximately 1:30pm yesterday at Esker South, Ballinalee.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a post to social media, Drumlish Foroige expressed their deepest sympathies to his family and friends, and tributes continue to be paid by members of the local community.

It's the 2nd fatal incident in as many days involving a motorcycle in the region with a man in his 50's losing his life in Leitrim on Friday.
