A motorist has been arrested and a vehicle seized in Longford this week following a multi-agency checkpoint in the county.
When stopped, a driver produced a fake driving license to members of the Longford Road Policing Unit.
Following a roadside drug test, the motorist also tested positive for cocaine use.
Gardaí arrested the driver of the car, impounded the vehicle, and seized the fake license, with a court appearance now to follow.
Gardaí are urging people to reduce their speed today as National Slow Down Day began today and will run until tomorrow morning.
