Motorists are being asked to honk their horns for our front line workers today.

Churches across the country will be ringing their bells at three o'clock today to mark National Services Day.

Motorists are being asked to join in the action by honking their horns while Garda and fire stations will also be also making some noise during the event which replaces the annual parade usually held to honour frontline service workers.

The event has been expanded this year to remember all the victims of Covid 19 and in particular, health workers, both professional and voluntary.
