Two motorists caught in Co. Westmeath are among the top speeders detected by Gardaí so far this weekend.
It comes as An Garda Síochána conducts an extensive Roads Policing Operation over the St Brigid's Bank Holiday weekend, which will continue until 7am on Tuesday.
A driver was caught going at 139 kph in a 100kph zone on the N4 in Culleen Beg, Mullingar.
While another motorist driving 116kph in an 80kph zone on the N55 in Lissoy, Glasson, was also detected.
Three fatalities occurred and a total of 580 drivers were detected for speeding offences during the first 48 hours of the operation.
