The provision of MRI services at the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar has hit an unexpected roadblock. Hospital management informed staff that the MRI Unit would close its doors this week despite HSE approval for the recruitment of staff to operate the service. Local Fianna Fail TD Robert Troy has branded the development as extremely regrettable and has confirmed that he has raised the issue with the Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly.
