Overcrowding is being reported at the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar again today.
According to the INMO's Trolleywatch, 18 people are waiting to be admitted at the Emergency department in the hospital today.
A statement from the hospital has confirmed that "the hospital is in escalation and the teams are working to manage the current Adult In-Patient and Covid-19 Bed Capacity together with Scheduled Care.
They are asking patients to consider their options before attending the Emergency Departments and are wanting people who are not triaged as seriously ill, you may need to wait for a long period to be seen.
In other local hospitals, 16 people are in the ED at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe with 25 at the ED in Sligo University Hospital.

Regional Hospital Mullingar’s Emergency Departments is busy this morning.
The hospital is in escalation and the teams are working to manage the current Adult In-Patient and Covid-19 Bed Capacity together with Scheduled Care.
We would ask patients to consider their options before attending the Emergency Departments.
If you do come to ED and are not triaged as seriously ill, you may need to wait for a long period to be seen.
Adult and Paediatric Patients who require urgent care will be prioritised.
