Shannonside MEP Ciaran Mullooly has voted against Ursula von der Leyen's reappointment as European Commission president.

MEPs have been voting on whether she should get a second term as President of the European Commission.

She has support from the mainstream parties, with others not backing her candidacy for a variety of reasons.

Fianna Fáil MEPs will vote against her nomination citing the president's handling of the conflict in Palestine as the reason why.

Mullooly, from Independent Ireland, says he could not support von der Leyen.
