Gardaí in Roscommon are investigating a number of theft incidents where registration plates from vehicles were taken in the early hours of yesterday morning.
It's understood a total of 14 number plates were stolen.
Gardaí say that in the majority of incidents the plates were removed from cars parked outside homes in the Ardnanagh area of Roscommon Town.
