The man who killed Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe has been arrested in relation to allegations of witness intimidation during his murder trial.
Aaron Brady is the 7th person to be arrested in connection with the investigation.
29-year-old Aaron Brady was sentenced to life in prison last month for the murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe in Co Louth in 2013.
This morning, Mr Brady was arrested in prison over allegations of witness intimidation, perverting the course of justice and the unlawful use of a mobile phone in prison.
He is being questioned at Portlaoise Garda Station.
Yesterday a man in his 50s was arrested in connection with the same investigation.
He has since been released and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
It brings to 7 people who have been arrested so far over witness intimidation during the trial.
