N61 cleared at Lecarrow following road traffic collision

The N61 near Lecarrow in Roscommon has been cleared following a road traffic collision earlier this afternoon.

Roscommon Gardaí have confirmed the incident has been resolved and traffic is moving on the main route.

Elsewhere in Roscommon town, emergency services attended the scene of a collision on the Racecourse Road earlier today.

Separately, motorists are being warned to drive with caution due to heavy downpours of rain across the west, with a rain warning in place until tonight.
