In the early hours of the Covid-19 pandemic Nancy appealed to people not to panic buy or stress over the situation that the pandemic had brought to our lives.

Nancy Stewart who lived through two world wars and the 1918 flu pandemic has died at the age of 107.

The County Meath woman was believed to be the oldest living woman in the country.

The Clonard native became a celebrity and voice of reason during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

She spoke to Shannonside Northern Sound last year about the letter she penciled to encourage people across the country to remain positive during the pandemic.

Nancy passed away at her home on Friday morning.
