National audit committee shows Longford County Council has the highest satisfaction rating in the region.

Longford County Council has received a satisfaction rating of almost seventy per cent.

According to results of the National Oversight and Audit Committee conducted over the last three years, 68 percent of respondents were satisfied with council, the rate in Leitrim is 58 percent, with Roscommon County Council received a 53 percent approval rating.

In terms of service delivery, Longford county council also received a high rating for its work on playgrounds, parks and open spaces, which was also the best rating for Roscommon county council at 87 per cent.

Leitrim's top rating was 73% for road safety and roads maintenance.
