A national bereavement support charity is hosting a special event today for those who've lost loved ones to suicide to help form a local support group.
HUGG is hosting an event in Roscommon today aimed at helping those impacted by loss.
The event in the Abbey Hotel takes place from 1pm and all are welcome.
Founder and CEO, Fiona Toumey says people who come along today will find different ways in which they can process their grief:
"At the event, they can expect a very warm and gentle welcome and a space where they can be themselves and meet other people who have been impacted by suicide. Nobody is going to be obliged to talk or to speak about their beliefs whatsoever. This is a space where they can be and they can hear what is available for them in terms of support. They can also hear from Brian Nolan, who is a grief and loss specialist, and he's going to be talking to people about how they can navigate their grief."
