Roscommon Councillor John Naughten and Arigna woman Dympna Daly Finn have been confirmed as Fine Gael's two candidates in Roscommon-Galway. Daly Finn was selected earlier in the night following a party directive to run a candidate in the north and south of the constituency.
Drum native, Naughten, defeated Senator Aisling Dolan, winning by 123 votes to 113 later on in proceedings. Galway councillor Alan Harney had earlier withdrawn from the selection process. Over 300 members were eligible to vote at tonight's convention in The Abbey Hotel.
