A nephew of Roscommon priest Fr Niall Molloy says a report on RTE this week concerning his uncle's death has given him renewed energy in the campaign for answers.
The piece broadcast as part of the RTE Prime Time show on Tuesday night suggested that a psychiatric report on Richard Flynn indicated there was more to the priests relationship with Therese Flynn than friendship.
Bill Maher says the family have never believed there was anything more than a financial and personal relationship, not only between Fr Niall and Therese, but also between Richard Flynn and their uncle.
He says some members of his family had been upset at the latest suggestions, and while he doesn't believe the 'so called ' latest evidence will be of any help, the television report has renewed his resolve to keep looking for answers.
"I've been around the block. It was a question I asked myself when he was murdered, you know, was there a relationship? There was a relationship alright, and it was financial, and that was with Richard and Therese. In fact, some people said to me years ago that Niall was probably a closer friend of Richard's than he was of Therese. So, this has spurred me on even more. I was nearly going to say I'd throw in the towel after the documentary and the book that's just been published. If I don't get the conclusion, I'm either going to drop dead and another family member will take it over, or it'll keep cropping up every anniversary, every July".
