A Leitrim native who's been working in the Netherlands for over a year says he'd consider coming back to live in Ireland if he was able to work remotely and continue in his present career.
Aaron O' Donnell who's originally from Aughnasheelin was commenting in the wake of new remote working survey which showed 10% of workers relocated during the pandemic.
Aaron says when he graduated with his degree after four years of college he found it impossible to get a job outside of Dublin.
He says he's enjoying a good quality of life and a good position in his company in the Netherlands, but would like to have the option of coming back and working from Ireland if that becomes possible.
''I would love to come back to Ireland. You know, like I've been gone a year and a half, two years but it's still in my head to once I put myself in a certain position to maybe relocate geographically without relocating career wise, job wise, you know, I work sort of semi remotely at the moment where I am and I probably have to come back once every three months and and come to the office.''
