A new local link service begins operation today.
Route 819 will operate five return trips seven days a week between Athlone and Mullingar and will connect areas such as Castletown Geoghegan, Loughnavalley, Ballymore, Drumraney, Mount Temple, and Baylin.
The route also services the SOLAS centre in Garrycastle as well as TUS and Athlone and Mullingar Train Stations

The bus will also link Mullingar town to Belvedere House Gardens and Park, with three services a day to the Westmeath County Council Parkland Amenity between April and September and two year round.
The first bus to Athlone leaves at 7:20am from Mullingar, with the first bus to Mullingar leaving Athlone at 5:40am.
