A North Longford Town has regained access to 24 hour cash services with the installation of a new ATM.
Granard had been left without a 24 hour ATM following the closure of the local Bank of Ireland Branch in October.
Following the withdrawal of the bank from the town, Granard Credit Union applied for permission to install the streetside infrastructure.
Permission was granted at the end of last year with the service now in place and operational on Barrack Street in the town.
Local residents and businesses are welcoming the development as concerns had been raised over the possible effects a lack of access to cash would have on trade in the north Longford town.
