A new school building for St Teresa's Special School, Ballinasloe has been formally announced.
The Taoiseach Micheál Martin and Minister for Education Norma Foley made the announcement in the town today.
The new school will be located on a greenfield site and will include a new 8 classrooms for learners aged from 4 to 18 years of age, with a primary assessment of a severe to profound general learning difficulty.

It will be delivered under the Department's ADAPT programme.
