The operators of a new style craft shop in Ballymahon say they've been surprised and very happy at the response so far.
The House of Craft on Main Street in Ballymahon was opened in October of this year after a group of local people involved in crafting got together to see if they could create a space for selling their product.
Many local craft fairs and markets had closed last year due to Covid and Thomas Lynch from Ballymahon says that was the main reason behind this new venture.
The shop is run by a five member committee made up of local crafters who rent space in it to other artists.
Goods from over 20 people from Longford, Westmeath, Leitrim and Roscommon are now on sale in the premises.
Thomas Lynch says they're very happy with the response and hope to be able to expand in the new year.
