A new Covid testing centre is to become operational in Carrick-on-Shannon in the coming days.
Signage has been erected at a new site just outside the town on the Castlecara Road in the last 48 hours.
The town previously had a Covid test centre in the town at the Irish Wheelchair Association car park and the HSE confirmed last October that it was hoping to re-establish a test centre in the county.
People in Leitrim who required tests up to recently needed to present in Sligo, Castlerea or Longford for swabs.
