The Acting Chief Medical Officer wants people on a local level to highlight areas which are of concern for the spread of Covid-19.
The latest data from the HPSC shows there are 10 counties around the country which have 14-day Covid-19 incidence rates of more than 50.
Dr Ronan Glynn says the messaging is the same throughout the country with practicing social distancing and hand hygiene.
The Carrick on Shannon Electoral Area has the highest rate of Covid 19 in the Shannonside region with a 132 incidence rate per 100,000 people.
The new data reveals that the electoral area of Carrick on Shannon had 15 confirmed cases of Covid 19 over the past 14 days.
Ballinamore had an incidence rate of 71 with 7 testing positive for cornonavirus in that electoral area.
The incidence nationally is just over 50 cases per 100 thousand people.
The incidence rate for the Longford Town Electoral Area was 81, with 13 cases of Covid 19 reported over the same period.
Roscommon, Ballymahon and Granard Electoral Areas have reported less than 5 cases of Covid 19, while the Boyle Electoral Area has an incidence rate of 55 per 100,000 with 12 cases of Covid 19 confirmed there.
