Up to 26 additional staff will be required to operate a new e-mental health hub established in Castlerea.
Minister Jim Daly as well as head of the HSE Paul Reid this week opened the new hub which is based at the site of the former Rosalie unit in the town.
A new CAMHS connect service will be operated at the building while services for older people will be provided through new day hospital model.
Concern was expressed this week by Roscommon senator Eugene Murphy that the centre was under staffed and sought clarity from the HSE about how many people would be required to allow it function properly.
It's expected that all the staffing requirements will be filled by early next year.
