Six new wifi hotspots are to be rolled out across Longford as part of a new education initiative.
The hotspots have been developed in conjunction with the Eduroam Everywhere scheme to support students and teachers in various educational settings.
The wifi is aimed at helping people who are studying remotely and whose learning institutions participate in eduroam, to have secure , free and secure internet access on their registered devices.
The hotspots are based in Longford, Ballymahon and Drumlish town centres, as well as at
Longford, Ballymahon and Granard public libraries.
