A new electric vehicle charging hub will be a boost for residents and retailers in Roscommon town.
That's according to local councillor Marty McDermott after members approved part 8 planning for the scheme.
The hub will be located behind Roscommon County Council offices close to Roscommon Garda station.
It will feature fast and slow charging points which will benefit local residents, schools and businesses.
