Almost 7,000 premises in Roscommon are now ready to connect to the new high speed broadband according to National Broadband Ireland.
The company says that another 1,000 Roscommon premises will also be able to order to pre-order a high-speed fibre broadband connection on its network on the Athlone and Longford deployment areas.
There are approximately 19,000 premises in the Intervention Area in Roscommon including homes, farms, commercial businesses and schools. There are almost 7,000 premises in the county that are available to order high-speed connections, with 1,618 connections already made to the network.
