Planning permission has been secured for a new housing development in North Longford.
MFG Construction Ltd had lodged the application with Longford County Council for the construction of 24 homes at Rathcronan in Granard.
The plans consist of 14 three bed semi detached two storey homes, 6 two bed single storey houses and 4 three bed units.
The application also contained plans for a new entrance and access road, green open spaces and pedestrian pathway.
Longford County Planners approved the application with 16 conditions attached.
These included the payment of a bond of €240,000 and a development contribution of €68,000.
