New initiative in Longford for younger people to connect with older neighbours

A new Longford project is hoping to connect young people with their older neighbours through the making of a time machine.

Members of the community are being asked to participate in the initiative which is run by the Neighbourhood Network and endorsed by Longford County Council.

The digital capsule will include interviews, art work and photographs highlighting how the the community looks now compared to the past.

Co-Ordinator Áine Lawless says it's an opportunity for young people to get to know their area.
