King and Moffatt has invested €600,000 in the facility in Attirory Business Park.

Fifty jobs are being created in Carrick-on-Shannon in a new innovation and technology hub.

King and Moffatt has invested €600,000 in the facility in Attirory Business Park.

It was officially opened yesterday evening by Hubert Fitzpatrick, the director-general of the Construction Industry Federation.

King and Moffatt's associate director of innovation and technology, Padraic King, explains what goes on in the new centre.

King and Moffatt started out small in Carrick in 1978, but now employs 500 people across Europe.

Brendan Sweeney is the joint chief executive of the company.
