A new chief executive has been appointed in Leitrim County Council - a role which includes an annual salary of almost €158,000.
Joseph Gilhooly will now officially hold the role following over 20 years of experience at the county council.
Gilhooly served previously as a director of services.
Prior to this announcement, he held the position of interim chief executive following the resignation of Lar Power last year.
During his time as interim chief executive, he oversaw tourism development projects in the area, such as public realm improvement works on the streets of Carrick-on-Shannon.
