A Longford company is celebrating after taking a major accolade at the national enterprise awards last night.
Cirtex is a new company just founded last year.
It makes home insulation and other products from recycled materials from duvets and mattresses, most of which are imported.
It was named as winner of the Green/Sustainability award of the year at last nights ceremony in Dublin's Mansion House.
The business was the brainchild of David Garland who's been running Longford Furniture Recycling since 2012.
He and business partner Rick Earley formed the company in 2021 and were recently awarded a 2022 CIRCULEIRES Innovation Fund.
